Breed or start clean
Official: hold the zoom dial → HELP → NEW TAMA → BREED. The device offers four NPC partners, so a second device is not required.
Official: HELP → NEW TAMA → NEW EGG starts a new egg and releases the current adult into the field.
Cosmetics carry; species does not
Body colour and eye shape can be inherited. The child’s adult species is determined again by field, Kid food, and Kid + Young care.
Adults become field life
Released adults use Outside Toys and can join Egg Hunts. The active Tama remains separate and is the only one needing direct care.
Bandai’s manual shows a 10,000 Gotchi Point expansion that doubles released residents and Outside Toys from four to eight.
